Consulting:

Principal architect Paul Copeland is a veteran Unix, Java, C++, and database developer with more than two decades of experience focused on enterprise software architecture. An inveterate toolsmith, he has contributed to pioneering Web, Ecommerce, and SOA projects at Ebay, Etrade, and Wells Fargo.

History:

• Ebay: 2008-09, SOA enterprise architect. Developed Java web service and WSDL validation framework using XQuery assertions for enterprise SOA governance (Java, Eclipse).

• Hewlett-Packard: 2007-08, Large scale J2EE digital media system (Weblogic, Oracle, HSM). Designed and developed web services framework for extranet SOA access.

• Sitepen/Bodega: 2006, Open source committer for persistent objects database framework (Java, Servlets, Tomcat, Hibernate, JPA, MySQL, JSON, AJAX, REST, SOA, XPath).

• Xerox: 1999-01, Java architect and database developer for Xerox PARC spin-off developing a high availability multi-threaded distributed object document management network server.

• Sun Microsystems: 1999, Java ecommerce architect with leading edge technologies, including development of a prototype Java Jini enterprise service bus (Java, XSL).

• Etrade: 1997-98, Real time price quotations, portfolio management, and system simulation test framework (Sybase, Java, C).

• Wells Fargo Bank: 1994-95, Technical lead and database architect with team pioneering the first Wells Fargo Internet banking application (CORBA, C++).

Other previous engagements include Apple Computer (data warehouse), Fair Isaac, MCI, United Airlines, Digital Equipment, Lotus, Ingres, and AT&T Bell Labs.

Software:

JOT Servlets is a Java web components application framework that creates dynamic content from server-side Java objects.

Bodega is an open source distributed objects database framework for AJAX, RIA, REST, SOA, and Web Services.
